WAHOO – Lorene A. Vomacka, 78, formerly of Davey, died April 16 in Wahoo. She was born Feb. 23, 1929, to Samuel M. and Emma Mae (Johnson) Hansen in Spencer. She worked as a budget auditor for the State of Nebraska, Department of Schools for over 20 years.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Davey. Her parents; her husband, Edwin Vomacka; and an infant sister, Betty Jean Hansen, preceded her in death. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jacki and Adrian Sima of Staplehurst and Cindy and Steve Hergenrader of Ceresco. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 20 at Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel, 245 North 27th Street in Lincoln with Pastor Rhonda Bostrom officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 19 with family greeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Memorials may be given to donor's choice. Metcalf Funeral and Memorial Services of Lincoln is in charge of the arrangements.

DAVEY Edvin J. Vomacka, 78, of Davey, died June 15 in Lincoln. Vomacka was born Nov. 19, 1923 to Frank and Anna Vomacka in Lynch. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, and three sisters. Services were held at Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel on June 19. Burial was at Tothill Cemetery.
